University of Minnesota The University of Minnesota Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Cancer Center membership brings together more than 400 professionals from a variety of disciplines, representing nine university colleges and schools and eight area hospitals and clinics. Members include researchers, physician-scientists, nurses, pharmacists and dentists. Through the Cancer Center and its research programs, members collaborate on investigations that improve cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and quality of life.
